Info

Halichoeres rubrovirens Rocha, Pinheiro & Gasparini, 2010

From FishBase:
Little is known about the ecology for this species, however, juveniles seem to mimic and usually swim together with schools of Thalassoma noronhanum which they resemble in color. Specimens were observed over high rugosity rocky bottoms with calcareous algae at depths

Classification:
Actinopterygii (ray-finned fishes) >
Perciformes (Perch-likes) >
Labridae (Wrasses) >
Corinae

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
