Very special thanks for the first photo of Acropora arafura to Dr. Paul Muir, Curator for corals at the Museum of Tropical Queensland (MTQ).
This species was found 2012 at the Westaustalien Coast (Kimberly) and in the Arafurasea, north Australial in a depth of 0,5 to 7 meters on sandy reef flats.
Colour: Cream to pale brown.
The coral was named for the type locality, the shallow Arafursea in the north of Australia.
