This new species of Dermatobranchus was descripted in 2011.The body shape of Dermatobranchus funiculus have a long, narrow body with stripes and nearly parallel dorsal ridges.Sea snails of the Familiy Arminidae generally eat soft corals and sea pens.It is often seen burrowing in sand.
