Info
Ctenochaetus striatus (Quoy & Gaimard, 1825)
Good algae eater (from the glass), like all bristletooth doctors, which suck rather than tear off algae like other species.
Diatoms are also part of their diet. Not a bully, but can sometimes be aggressive towards new arrivals or related fish.
In any case, it should have enough swimming space and clean water.
We do not believe that we eat our fish, but we would like to pass on this advice.
Caution: If eaten, the fish can cause ciguatera fish poisoning. This advice refers to the consumption of these fish.
