Scyllarides astori Holthuis, 1960

Galapagos slipper lobster can be found in shallow water to depht of 10 m,probably on rocky substrate. This species is nocturnal.

The carapax length is from is 8 to 12 cm., the total length to about 25 cm.

It is preyed by the large groupers.
