This sponge grows in reefs and can be found at depths up to 20 meters.Its a common sponge in the Red Sea.Mycale fistulifera grows up to 40 cm.Its appearance is very variable.

This sponge grows on stones, but also on large shells. It is known that Mycale fistulifera settles on the shell Tridagna and covers his tissue.
