Info

The color of the colonies of this beautiful, bush-like horn coral ranges from a deep brownish red to a dark orange, which is very characteristic of this species.

Leptogorgia exigua does not have any zooxanthellae and is therefore a suspension feeder, meaning that the coral is dependent on a continuous supply of tiny organic suspended particles, which is only the case in areas with strong currents or directly on rocky coastlines.

The first photo shows a washed-up colony.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide any further information about this colorful coral at this time.
