Xanthichthys lineopunctatus (Hollard, 1854)
Striped triggerfish

A rare species that occurs in offshore reefs, often seen well above the bottom (Ref. 9710). Also taken by drive-in nets. Oviparous
Inhabits seaward reef slopes, usually well below 30 m, where in some places they are among the most common fish.
