Info

(Monniot, 1988)

Pycnoclavella flava is endemic to the waters around New Caledonia in a depth range between 20 and 30 meters.
Sea squirts require a continuous supply of plankton, which is why they are difficult to keep in the aquarium.

Sea squirts are hermaphrodites, cross-fertilization and self-fertilization are typical for them.

Yellow species: Pycnoclavella flava
Black and white species: Clavelina robusta

Synonym: Clavelina flava Monniot, 1988
