(Formerly - Periclimenes tenuipes)

Cuapetes tenuipes is found on sand bottoms and down holes.Almost completely transparent except for a few brown lines, with very long arms and red claws.
This shrimp feed on parasites, algae and plankton.

Halte ein Pärchen dieser Garnelen. Geschlechter leicht zu unterscheiden: Männchen mit deutlich grösseren Scheren und vom Körperbau eher schlanker, Weibchen mit kleineren Scheren und fülliger.
Können sich gut gegen einen Cirrhilabrus lubbocki und zwei Lysmata amboinensis behaupten.
Vom verhalten her sind sie den Scherengarnelen sehr ähnlich.
Das Weibchen trägt immer wieder Eier.
