Stichopathes luetkeni is a azoxanthellate black coral that may reach a lenght of 450 cm, the coral feed on plancton.

Depth: down to 125 meters

The species name "lutkeni" refer to Christian Frederik Lütken (1827-1901), a Danish zoologist.

Diese Peitsche halte ich jetzt 2,5 Jahre, muss aber sagen, daß dieses Tier nur schwer am Leben zu halten ist.

Cirrhipathes spiralis ist wesentlich haltbarer.
