Captive breeding / propagation

The offspring of Iciligorgia schrammi are possible. Unfortunately, the number of offspring is not large enough to cover the demand of the trade. If you are interested in Iciligorgia schrammi, please ask your dealer for offspring. If you already own Iciligorgia schrammi, try breeding yourself. This will help to improve the availability of offspring in the trade and to conserve natural stocks.

Husbandry

Iciligorgia schrammi is a so-called deep-water gorgonian. They are found mainly in the Gulf of Mexico from Florida to northern Brazil. It feeds on plankton, so must be fed in the aquarium. Otherwise, little is known about them.
