Glabella pseudofaba (G. B. Sowerby I, 1846)
A sea snail from the family Marginellidae, colloquially known as marginal snails. The family of small sea snails have an oval shell with pronounced spindle folds. In living animals, the mantle covers the shell.
Marginal snails are found in warm waters, particularly in West African, West Pacific waters and the Caribbean. They live in sand, between algae or under stones. Most are predatory, carnivorous snails that feed primarily on other mollusks.
The Queen Marginella, as Glabella pseudofaba is colloquially known, is a predatory snail with a distinctive dark almost rectangular spot, a shiny sculpted shell, is also a predatory species according to WoRMS.
