Info

Neptunazurea paulomirpuri Ortea & Moro, 2018

"paulomirpuri" named after the president of the Mirpuri Foundation Paulo Mirpuri. The Foundation has demonstrated an unwavering commitment not only to protecting the oceans, but also to preserving life in the marine environment.

Neptunazurea paulomirpuri is currently only known from the Cape Verde Islands.

There is a possibility of confusion with Felimare francoisae. The coat color of Felimare francoisae is Berlin blue (dark blue), while the coat of Neptunazurea paulomirpuri has two shades of blue. Both species were listed together as Felimare francoisae until Neptunazurea paulomirpuri was described in 2018.

Very similar to Mexichromis molloi!
