Info

Coralastele pulcherrima (G. B. Sowerby III, 1914)

Coralastele pulcherrima is a shell snail from the family Calliostomatidae, which are called noble top snails. The family was formerly listed as a subfamily of gyroscope snails. Members of the family are distributed worldwide and usually live on hard substrates, rarely on sand.

While some sources describe these snails as algae and detritus eaters, WoRMS indicates Coralastele pulcherrima as predatory. It is not known what the snail feeds on.
