Metapontonia scorpio Ďuriš & Lin, 2016

The species name "scorpio" = scorpion refer on the ability of Metapontonia scorpio to overturn the posterior pleonites in a manner resembling the typical body posture of scorpions.

Host: Diploastrea heliopora

Similar: The present Metapontonia scorpio is distinctly smaller than Metapontonia fungiacola, with the body and appendages stouter.
