Neomolgus littoralis (Linnaeus, 1758)

Bdellidae is a family of snout mites in the order Trombidiformes. In terms of size, they are medium to large-sized predatory mites. They are known to inhabit soil, leaves, as well as intertidal rocks. They can be easily recognized by their elongated, snout-like gnathosoma pedipalps bearing two (one in Monotrichobdella) long terminal setae.

Neomolgus littoralis is a tiny mite ( 3mm) looking like a little red dot moving across rocks or other hard surfaces. Its diameter is 3mm. Its a red mite at saltwater Beaches.
