Anasterias antarctica (Lütken, 1857)

Anasterias antarctica is a species of echinoderms in the family Asteriidae. It is a carnivore. It has sexual reproduction. This sea star is an coldwater species.

There is some seasonal vertical migration of this species, with larger individuals being found at greater depths and smaller individuals seldom being deeper than 10 m in winter.
