Doris fontainii d'Orbigny, 1837

Doris fontainii is a species of Gastropoda in the family Dorididae. Doris fontainii form shallow marine sediments. It is a sessile prey feeder. It has sexual reproduction.

It feeds on brownish encrusting demosponges. The egg mass is very long yellowish ribbon forming a spiral with up to 7 whorls. There are 3 to 4 small spherical eggs in each capsule.
