Maoricrypta costata (G. B. Sowerby I, 1824)

This marine genus Maoricrypta is known to occur off New Zealand and Australia.

The Ribbed Slipper Shell, is a species of intertidal medium-sized sea snail in the family Calyptraeidae. This species occurs along the east coast of the North Island, New Zealand. This slipper shell is a filter feeder .
