Aegires palensis Ortea, Luque & Templado, 1990

Known only from the western Mediterranean (France and Spain). This minute nudibranch have dark brown markings on the body, fine opaque white speckling, and the brown banding on the rhinophores. Aegires palensis can be found on rocks and Posidonia oceanica.

Seaslugs genus Aegires feeds on calcareous sponges.
