Macroschisma dilatatum is a species in the family Fissurellidae, commonly known as the keyhole limpets and slit limpets.This sea snails can be found in shallow water,on or under rocks in the lower intertidal zones to deeper waters

Macroschisma dilatatum feeds on algae and (algae grazer), but also detritus.Shell size 1,5 cm.
