Dendronotus subramosus MacFarland, 1966

Dendronotus subramosus commonly known as Stubby Frond-aeolis can be found on the Pacific Ocean coast of North America from Vancouver Island, British Columbia , Baja California to Mexico.

The body colour is higly variable and varies from translucent brown to yellow, orange or dark brown. The colour can be uniform with no patterning or there can be small scattered lemon-yellow spots, or spots of dark brown, reddish brown, or green or white or a combination of these, or with brown longitudinal lines.

THis species feeds on hydrozoon polyps, including Aglaophenia struthionides,Aglaophenia and Aglaopheniidae.
