Polycera japonica Baba, 1949

This vera small Polycera is widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific.The body colour is a light to dark brown, mottled with darker brown and cream. The rhinophores appear disproportionately large.

Polycera japonica can be found in highly protected to exposed rocky habitats and in Halimeda kanaloana beds (depths 1 - 9 m).

The egg masses is small and rang from 1/2 to 2 whorls.

Polycera japonica feeds on Bryozoans.
