Psammechinus microtuberculatus (Blainville, 1825)

Psammechinus microtuberculatus is brown with short greenish or whitish spines. This sea urchin is herbivorous.This species live on sandy bottom, but can also be found on hard substrates.

The ectoparasites Asterocheres minutus and Asterocheres violaceus lives on Psammechinus microtuberculatus.
